The Molecular Health Sciences (MHS) Platform integrates nine research groups that aim to understand tissue and organ functions and their responses to stress, disease and therapy. MHS is associated with the Department of Biology (D-BIOL) and Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) and houses four state-of-the-art technology centers: the ETH Phenomics Center, Flow Cytometry Facility, Histology Facility and NEXUS personalized health technologies.
Together, these groups are advancing scientific discoveries and innovation in biomedicine and are collaborating with partners around the world. In addition, MHS aims to apply scientific knowledge to real-world problems, utilizing industrial alliances and the unique on-site innovation and entrepreneurship Laboratories (ieLabs).
As part of the ETH Zürich, MHS also provides modern teaching laboratories and offers educational programs in cell biology and molecular health sciences to educate the best students from all over the world in biological and translational sciences.
Collectively, MHS provides vibrant ecosystem for students, postdoctoral fellows, professional scientists, administrative staff and academic faculty to produce, together with partners from around the globe, scientific knowledge along the continuum from basic discovery, through translation to improved health care.
